Turkeys

Pastured Turkeys
This year we are offering two types of turkeys -- Broad-Breasted Bronze and Standard White -- both of which are raised on pasture. Turkeys are excellent foragers and therefore the pasture-based diet really influences the flavor and quality of the meat. Either breed will make an excellent centerpiece for your Thanksgiving meal.
Standard White Turkeys are known for having a generous amount of white breast meat. They are generally larger (20+ pounds) and the cost is $5.50 per pound.
Broad-Breasted Bronze Turkeys are a slower-growing, older-style breed. They are regarded for having a complex flavor, with slightly more dark meat than the Standard White. They are generally smaller in size (18-20 pounds) and cost $6.50 per pound.
Pick-up: Tuesday, November 22 from 3-7 p.m. at Pat’s Pastured 951 Fort Getty Road in Jamestown, RI
