How long have you been working with Pat?
I started with Pat in 2000 when he was manager of Casey Farm, and have been with him from the beginning of Pat’s Pastured.
What’s one of your earliest memories of being part of the farm crew?
My earliest memory is of Pat, Deb and I loading coolers into trucks and rushing off to markets on a Saturday morning.
What do you love most about being part of the crew, or your job in general?
What I love most about the farm is working with the farm crew. Coming from an office background I love the outdoors and being on the farm.
How has your job changed and evolved over the years?
My job was basically loading products into coolers and selling them at markets. Then, when Pat had the need for someone to keep freezers organized and keep track of products, I asked if I could help. Once we were organized we made many improvements in the fulfillment area. What took 5 to 6 hours now takes us 2 hours, leaving us time to help in other areas.
What do you wish more people knew about Pat or the farm?
That Pat and every farm worker believes in what we do. Making the best product that is not only delicious to eat by also healthier for you.
